I don’t usually leave a google review but this time I feel I have to.

I have consulted various metaphysics/bazi masters over the last 10 years. Some claimed I need to avoid water (how can i give up my beloved terrapin?), don’t wear blue, carry an angpow of coins, jades, etc. Some claimed that his method of using solar time is the right one. Some are downright rude like I owe him a living (being nice to people is a fundamental principle in life I feel). Some writes a load of theory in an email with very little value.

Fast forward to January 2023, I am glad I stumbled upon a webpage by Master Chan (曾). It was an in-person consultation with a structured report that talks about what I am, where I am now, where I will be and how to be manage all these in my day to day life. Master Chan covered the technicalities of my bazi, key findings, my strengths and weaknesses, macro view of my next few 10 year luck pillars, zoomed into the current phase, and pointed out events to take note of, how the elements interact, and recommendations to manage them.

The strengths and weaknesses analysis consisted of 29 descriptions for my bazi. They were very specific (not general) and stunned me because it was almost 100% spot-on. Using all the the newfound knowledge, I fielded a lot of questions and found enlightenment from the insights into my career choice I was planning to take. For relationship, I understood how to better put on the right lenses to view my situation and work on it. For health, I was also feeling confident to take on what could impact me.

I think the greatest benefit was the ability to zoom out and then zoom in to the output from the very structured bazi analysis so that I get a firm grounding on how to utilize it. In addition, Master Chan kept emphasizing on my useful and unfavorable elements, in order to teach me how to look at which year, months and days that may “clash”. Basically Master Chan fed me nice fish to eat, then taught me how to fish. In fact, I am considering letting Master Chan analyze my children’s bazi and he said something along the line of “with great power/knowledge comes great responsibilities” and “三思而後行”. I think I may be ready.

In case you are still wondering if the unfavorable part of bazi can be “fixed”, what I learned is that bazi is not meant to be fixed but it is the headlight and sensors when you are driving/parking. A few masters also say this but does not add value like Master Chan. For now, I will be adopting the recommendations by Master Chan, including doing good. e.g. regular donations to the needy. I think that’s a win-win!
